The City's matching grants program.
Grab a bunch of local mates and apply for a green grant. Start up a community garden, hold a swap party or organise a neighbourhood clean up. Grants are available all year round and 'match' volunteer hours made by the community up to $10,000.

Question Can a takeaway coffee cup be recycled?
AnswerThe lid, yes. The cup, it depends. If it has any waxy or plastic coating you can't. If it's just paper board you can. Try tearing the cup to see. Better still, buy a reusable cup.
